welcome,

Today we are going to learn how to apply the DIH note/chord when playing a song on the piano (exercise 7)
Hope you enjoy the last tutorial exercise 6☺😉? Yes i did! !
Very Good 👏
Let's get started!!!!!

The DIH chord consists of  (dih + mi +so) diminish chord (dih + mi+ so+ for)

The dih note is the flat 2nd note or sharp one note. For example if your second note key is D, when you flatten it becomes c# or Db. The dih note falls first in the accidental note, remember last time we learnt five accidentals on a piano octave which are DIH, MOH, FEH, ZIH,TOR.

The dih note is the first accidental note and it is used as a passing note to REH. For instance, when playing a song and the progression is moving to REH, the dih cord is apply in between as a passing note to REH. I WILL SHOW YOU AN APPLICATION OF DIH CHORD IN A SONG. This song is a popular song sang by Nathaniel Basset tittle "imela".

Imela chord progression to the chorus:

IMELA ----- DO
IMELA ----- SO
OKAKA----- RE
OYEKERUWA--- FA
now you see the chord Reh above, the dih chord can be place in between the soh and the reh so as to sound advanced. So when applying the dih chord in imela chorus you get

IMELA ----- DOH

IMELA ----- SOH

OKA -- DIH

KA-- REH

OYEKERUWA --- FA

so you notice that the part okaka was split into two so as to apply the dih chord. This techniques goes to other songs which have reh in between the progression. You can make your dih sound advance by making it a diminish chord.

Secondly

The dih chord is Al's applied to end a chord progression using your 6th chord which is lah

This technique makes your chord sound advance when play a song an the progression is ending at lah. Applying this dih chord in the sense that you make your second note which is reh a sus2 chord and land at the dih chord for example.

Right hand.                                                       Left hand

Zih( Sharp 5th).                                           Reh mi LA. ( sus2 for reh)

LA  MI LA.                                                DIH MI LA (DIH CHORD)

So when a song is end with la you should make use of this techniques and you will sons advance.  Keep on practicing and your play will become advance.
